State Rep. Jacey Jetton’s wife, Fanny Jetton, has been sworn in as his temporary replacement in the Texas House while he is deployed for military service. Jacey Jetton, a Richmond Republican and member of the Army National Guard, will spend four months on active duty. The Texas Constitution allows lawmakers to appoint a temporary replacement in such cases, and Jacey Jetton chose his wife for the role. Fanny Jetton, who works for a financial services firm, will serve as a strong advocate for House District 26, sharing the same conservative values as her husband. Her swearing-in coincided with the start of a special legislative session focused on property tax relief.
