Fort Bend ISD to Host “Dynamic Dads” Conference, April 18
Fort Bend ISD’s Special Programs Department will host its first “Dynamic Dads” Conference to help promote the involvement of fathers in their
children’s education through such activities as reading and helping with homework. The conference is open to fathers and other male role models (including uncles, grandfathers, and adult brothers) of Fort Bend ISD students. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the McNair Auditorium at Willowridge High School (located at 16301 Chimney Rock, in Houston).
Mike Hall of Strong Fathers, Strong Families will serve as keynote speaker. Participants will also enjoy several break-out sessions focusing on such topics as: help with homework, school and family decision making, and parental involvement. Spanish ranslation services will be offered and transportation will also be provided from Goodman Elementary School (at 1100 West Sycamore in Fresno) and Hodges Bend Middle School (at 16510 Bissonnet in Houston). A light breakfast will also be served.
