Aggravated Robbery in Covington Woods Subdivision

The Sugar Land police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred March 25, at 10:16 p.m., in the 1300 block of Ashwood Drive.

A female in the house said three men entered through the garage, confronted her with hand guns and confined her to an interior area while they searched the home for money and other valuables.

While the men were searching the home, a friend of the homeowner rang the front door bell. He was confronted by the intruders, who tied up the visitor and the female occupant. The suspects waited for the homeowner to return and tied him up with the others a short time later.

No one was injured, and the suspects left the home with an unspecified amount of cash and other items. There were no signs of forced entry, and detectives believe the homeowner was specifically targeted by the three criminals.

Two of the suspects were described as Spanish-speaking black men in their late 20s; 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall; and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. One of the men had a dark complexion, and the other had light skin and a skinny mustache. The third man was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, but no other details could be provided.

Anyone with information should call SLPD at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
